Paul Villani (Lawyer)

Paul has a diverse background and brings many years of experience to the team.  Paul has worked in senior levels of state and federal government, including Customs (Australian Border Force), Tax, State Revenue and Workcover.

Paul’s Qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Humanities (Legal Studies and Philosophy), and a Post Grad Diploma in Public Policy.

Paul was the National Director of Schemes Debt Collection at the Australia Tax Office; he worked in Customs as a Senior Investigator on criminal and fraud related matters. He was accredited as a Commonwealth Government Investigator having completed numerous training courses including the Caberra University Investigators Course and the investigator’s course at the Victoria Police Detective Training School.

As well as being able to get into the detail of matters, Paul’s strong understanding of how government departments work enables him to cut to the chase and get straight into the issues, meaning that sometimes it’s a matter of negotiating outcomes rather than starting a legal battle.

As a contrast to the above experience, Paul also has extensive experience as a Registered Domestic and Commercial building Practitioner in Victoria and was the director of a boutique building firm that specialised in architectural and heritage works, as well as take-overs of problem projects.   Paul is experienced in dealing with government bodies and councils etc., on building and planning matters, which makes him an invaluable asset to our clients with building issues.

We are happy to offer Paul’s skills and experience to help us resolve all matters legal and non-legal.
